Ouchie day

So here I sit, cuddling Karma at the Econolodge in Van Horn, TX. I'm having trouble breathing because of back spasms. I have a call in to a local spa (the only one in Van Horn) to see if I can get a back massage to help me get back on my way tomorrow. Like many things in a small town, limited hours are par for the course. The spa is only open from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I did make it to the local grocery store where I found a veritable bonanza of fruit. A 5lb bag of oranges for $0.99 and bananas! It was like a Festivus miracle.

In the same grocery store, I found an important bit of Americana you can't find just anywhere. Blue flavored MD 20/20.

Argh! Just got in touch with the spa. No massages available, but I swear they offered me a pedicure as an alternative! Well, I suppose it's on to a healing meditation podcast, a bath and then some more Karma cuddles.

Hopefully the blog will be more eventful tomorrow.
